General Information

Hello Friends and Family,

Welcome to our wedding website! Guzel and I have created this space to provide you with all the information you'll need to make our wedding and your trip to Santorini a memorable one. We understand that this is not only our wedding but also a vacation for all of you. Over the course of three days, we’ve planned a few events that highlight the best of Santorini. While we'd love for you to join us for everything, participation is optional. You can choose to attend any events that interest you, and we ask that you RSVP on the website for each one to help us plan accordingly.

Our Wedding Events Include:

-Welcome Party – Cocktail party at PK Bar

-Boat Cruise

-Trip to Oia to explore, shop and watch the sunset

-Pre-Wedding Dinner at Ammoudi Restaurant (Authentic Greek seafood taverna)

-Wedding Ceremony and Reception

When to Arrive:

To participate in all events, please arrive in Santorini by Sunday, August 3rd.

The Welcome Party starts at 7pm at PK Bar in Fira. Please check into your hotel and relax before making your way there.

Accommodations:

We recommend staying at one of the following hotels in the town of Fira (Capital of Santorini:

Aressana Hotel Website

Aigialos Hotel Website

Loizos Hotel Website

These hotels are within a short walk of each other. Book directly on their websites.

Transportation:

You’ll need to arrange your own arrival and departure transport directly with your hotel. All hotels provide transfer services from the airport or port for a fee.

Transportation for all wedding events will be provided by Guzel and I. A set pickup and drop-off location, near the hotels, will be provided in your welcome packet upon hotel check-in.

Transportation to our events will be arranged based on RSVPs.

We will provide car service numbers in your welcome packet, so you can arrange transport of your own, if needed. Taxis are limited, and Uber is rarely used on the island. Car services are the most common transport option.

Weather:

Santorini weather in summer is typically hot, dry, and sunny, with daytime temperatures between 77°F to 95°F. Nights are mild around 68°F. Strong afternoon winds help keep things cooler. The sun is intense, so stay hydrated and wear sunscreen.

Visas:

If traveling from outside the EU, a visa is required. Starting in mid-2025, non-EU citizens will need to apply for ETIAS to travel to Greece. ETIAS Information

Other Information:

Expect to walk – Fira is built on a cliff, so most areas involve uphill and downhill walks on narrow, cobblestone streets. Hotels are not accessible by car, so be prepared for short walks throughout your stay.

No Heels – We recommend against wearing heels while exploring Santorini (except for the wedding, where heels are fine, the wedding venue is suitable for heels).

Dining Hours – In Greece, people tend to eat late (usually after 8/9pm) to avoid the heat. Most restaurants offer only outdoor seating.

WhatsApp – We suggest having WhatsApp on your phone for communication with car services and hotels.

Pre-Wedding Events:

Welcome Party @ PK Bar (7pm, August 3rd):

PK Bar is a 5-minute walk from any of the recommended hotels. Come and enjoy cocktails with a view of the caldera and the famous Santorini sunset.

Guzel and I have preselected your first two cocktails. After that, feel free to choose from the menu. Non-alcoholic cocktails, refreshments and beverages will also be available.

The event is private; just let the hostess know you're here for our party.

The sunset is expected around 8:20pm, and we plan to wrap up by 9pm. Afterward, feel free to explore Fira and dine at one of its great restaurants. We recommend making reservations in advance, as the island gets busy. A suggested reservation time is between 9:30-10pm, giving you some time to explore Fira after the cocktail party.

Boat Cruise (Morning, August 4th):

We’ve chartered an 80-foot catamaran for a 5-hour cruise around Santorini, the caldera, and the volcano. The yacht will stop for swimming at spots like Red Beach, White Beach, and the Hot Springs.

The crew will prepare a traditional Greek lunch on board. Water, refreshments, and local wine will be available all day.

Snorkeling equipment will be provided.

Bring your own beach towel, sunscreen, and sunglasses.

Transportation to and from the event will be provided. Be ready to leave at 8:55am, with return expected around 3pm.

Trip to Oia (Late Afternoon, August 4th):

After the cruise, we will head to northern town of Oia to explore. If you are joinging, we will be leaving at 6:15pm or feel free to stay at your hotel and relax.

Oia is famous for its stunning views, narrow streets, and blue-domed churches. You can enjoy the sunset at a café/bar of your choice, or join Guzel and I at Lioyerma Pool Bar for drinks before heading to dinner.

Lioyerma is a relaxed bar a little off the beaten path, with fewer crowds, offering great sunset views.

Afterward, we’ll head to Ammoudi Bay for the Pre-Wedding Dinner. You can either walk down the donkey path with Guzel and I or take the provided transportation.

The donkey path is a cobblestone route with steep steps, offering breathtaking views, but can be challenging. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk. If you prefer not to walk, transportation will be available.

Pre-Wedding Dinner @ Ammoudi Bay Restaurant (Evening, August 4th):

If you opt to stay back at the hotel instead of visiting Oia, transportation to the restaurant will leave at 8:45pm.

Ammoudi Bay Restaurant, known for its seafood, is right on the water of Ammoudi Bay. We'll have a private section for a family-style dinner (a chicken option will also be available).

After dinner, transportation will return everyone to the hotels.

Wedding Day & Ceremony (August 5th):

The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at a secret venue. Be ready to depart at 5:30pm.

Unless you're part of the wedding party, you have the day free to explore Santorini. There are wineries, volcano tours, beaches, donkey rides, cable cars, or simply relaxing at the hotel.

The wedding ends at midnight. Transportation will begin at 11:30pm to take you back to your hotel
