Whether during your free time, the morning of the wedding day or if your extending your stay to soak in even more of the island’s charm, we’ve put together a list of activities, some of which are walking distance from the hotels, where we are staying, in the town of Fira.
1. Ride Donkeys to the Old Port
A fun and traditional way to experience Santorini, donkey rides from Fira to the old port are a must! We suggest taking the scenic route down the cliffside, following in the footsteps of ancient times. It’s a unique and charming way to start the day, especially for those looking to explore the historic port area.
Note: Donkey rides are offered from the top of Fira, with a beautiful view of the caldera along the way.
2. Take the Cable Car Down the Cliff
For a more relaxed journey down to the Old Port, you can opt for the famous cable car ride. The ride offers stunning views of the island’s cliffside, the sparkling Aegean Sea, and the bustling port below. It's an efficient and scenic way to see Fira from above without the climb.

Route: The walk from Fira all the way to Oia takes about 3-4 hours, but you can enjoy a shorter stretch closer to Fira and return whenever they wish.
